Russian Ballet Camp

Well, it's been a L O N G week of my Russian Ballet Camp.
I really enjoyed it a lot, but it took a lot out of me. ;o)
I went from Monday thru Friday from 1:00 to 3:30. That's a lot of dancing!! (not to mention that I still had gymnastics on Monday & preschool on Wednesday!!!!)
We took time each day at camp for a craft, a snack & to watch some ballet on DVD.
One day I feel asleep in the van & mommy carried me in. This is where I was for about an hour. :o)

On our last day of camp, we had a little performance. It was fairly short, and you can watch the video at the end of this blog, but it was REALLY great!!! I had a wonderful time dancing. Here's my curtsey at the end. :o)

Here I am after it was all over. I was proud & was looking over at my friend, Charlotte.

This is me & one of my instructors. Can you see me trying to get feedback from the audience of about 8 people. I just love an audience. heeheehee :o)

After it was all over, Charlotte & I decided to dance around with eachother. She's my new friend. :o)

This is us having FUN!!!

Here we are throwing our flowers up in the air & chasing them.

We got interviewed when it was all over. I had to say my name, age & my favorite part of camp. I said my favorite part was my dance that I just did. :o)

Here I am answering my interview questions.

Well, this is it. The 4 of us had a GREAT week!!! If I'm lucky, maybe I can go back for classes in the Fall. :o) Thank you SO much for teaching us ladies!!!

This is me with my new friend Charlotte. We're VERY proud of our hard work this week. :o)
Hope to see you in Fall classes Charlotte!!!

So after class, I had to go change. I told mommy that my things needed to go on this shelf. That that's what the big girls do with their stuff, so after I got it all put up, I insisted on a photo. lol I was giggling. ;o)

I hope you enjoy the video. Mommy shut off the camera between songs to save her battery. The camera doesn't last long like the video recorder does.
Anyway, you can tell from this how HARD that we worked ALL week!!! It was ALL worth it though!!! :o)
If all goes as planned, maybe I'll be in the Nutcracker this Winter!!!! This school does a production & ALL students get to perform. YEA!!!

I LOVE BALLET!!!!!

My new purchase

The garage sale was a success & so were my earnings........
Well, this is it. This is what I've been wanting to get, and mommy & daddy told me that I had to sell some of my old stuff at the garage sale to earn enough money to get this swing. OH, it was worth it!!! My favorite part about getting it was strutting up to the cash register lady with my OWN cash in my hand to pay for it myself. That was FUN!!! :o)
Here I am helping daddy put it together!!

I was in charge of the washers & nuts. I got to put some of it together. I love helping!!

As I waited for daddy to put the hangers up, I got a little impatient. SOOooo, I got a little goofy. heeheehee

Daddy let me hang up the last chain. That was big time!!!

Ok, here I go!!!!!!

This is working out pretty good!!

As I was swinging, I had some stories to tell.....

WOO HOO!!! Look at me go on my "bunking bronco" lol !!

Ok, well I guess I'm goofy a lot of the time. heeheehee
After getting to swing for a bit, we decided to go get mexican food. We went to a restaurant that mommy & daddy said that they used to go to a lot. It was near the house they used to live in before I was born. Mommy orded a grande margarita and had daddy take this photo for my Auntie Steph. She's planning to come for Christmas from Australia and mommy wanted to tease her about needing to get here quick. :o)
We LOVE you Auntie Steph!!!! We can't wait until you get here!!! :o)

On our drive home, mommy taped me singing to John Mayer in the van. I love to sing & so I let her tape me. ;o) I'm holding my teddy bear wrapped in a blanket, if you wondered what that was.
Yes, I'm sleepy from my long weekend & ready for bed, but nothing will stop me from rockin' out to a little John Mayer. :o)

That's it from me today. I'm off to bed. Love you!!! :o)

Garage Sale

So we finally had our garage sale. I was most excited about my chance to FINALLY sell some lemonade. Would you like some?? I've even got snacks for sale!
Here, let me get you one. It's nice and refreshing.
Here you go. Enjoy, it's PINK lemonade!!

Aren't I the cutest lemonade seller ever!! I did really well with my sales and even earned some tips!! Sweet! :o)

I worked so hard ALL day & played hard too. Every time a kid came to our sale, I showed them around & played with them!! It was super HOT out and I got a bit dirty. I don't think my neck has ever looked like this before. lol See.... ;o)

Here is what part of our sale looked like. Wasn't it HUGE!!! Mommy said we hadn't had a sale in 3 years. Plus we had other people's stuff too. What a day!! I helped set up & work, so I was a BIG helper!!! Garage Sales rock!!!

I can't wait to spend the money that I made. More to come on that topic!! ;0)

John Mayer

Well, what can I say, I *LOVE* going to concerts. ;o) I started young, as my first show was going to see The Dead at 2 months of age. I always use ear protection, so that's important for sure!!
Today was an exciting day! I was going to get to see John Mayer for the second time!!! My Grammie got to come too. She was excited!! Here we are, waiting in the beautiful sunshine. :o)
Grampy got to come too! It was his first trip to "Deer Creek" and I felt proud to take him and show him around. heeheehee

The opener was Brett Dennen. He's really good. We have a CD of his in the van and I enjoy listening to it. If you've not heard his music, you should check him out!! Here he is on stage, although I don't think you can see him too well in this tiny photo. lol

Mommy and I were having a great time in the lawn.
Next to perform was Colbie Caillat. I was really excited to see her. I like her whole CD, but my favorite song of hers is called Bubbly. Mommy taped me dancing to it, you can view that at the end.
This is her on stage.

Our friends got us down into the pavillion before John Mayer started. This is mommy holding me up so I can see Colbie's last song & so I can wave at her. I know she can see me from this spot!!! :O)

So, not only were we in the pavillion, we were in a VIP BOX seat!!! WOO HOO!!! I've never been this close at a show & I thought it was GREAT!!! At one point during JM, they brought us all FREE ice cream!!! Who can beat that!!! :o) THANKS Ritters!!!

These are our sweet friends that got us VIP. Mommy has known my Uncle Dwight since High School, and this is his sweet girlfriend Lisa. THANKS GUYS!!! I had a blast!!! *MWAH*

This is a photo of mommy & I enjoying the show. See how close we were!!!

Here's the hottie himself, Mr. John Mayer!!!

This is my Uncle Dwight's dad, Wayne. We made quick friends and I had fun playing around with him during the show. :O)

Here's a cute family shot. Aren't we cute!!
This is my friend, Leslie. She works at the shows and I actually met her at my very first show, at 2 mo. of age. She hadn't seen me in a while & was shocked that I'm 4 now!!! She was thrilled to see me and actually let me talk on her walkie talkie. heeheehee That was fun!!! Great to see you again Leslie!!! Hopefully I'll see you next time!!

And yes, again, HOTTIE!!! Look out Jennifer Aniston, lol, I just may take your man.

This was the first time I got the I LOVE YOU dealie right with my fingers. I held my hand up super high so John Mayer could see it.

Here I am being silly with daddy and Wayne.

Before the show was over, the people in the next box left, so I joined mommy over there for a dance. We had SO much fun!!! I love to spin!!!

Well, here is my video. If you've not heard Colbie Caillat before, you can hear my favorite song, Bubbly, here. Just turn up your volume. I had fun dancing to this song!!

THANKS to Brett Dennen, Colbie Caillat, and John Mayer for an amazingly fun evening!!!! Thanks for sharing your music, it makes our souls smile. :o)

4th of July

Well, Happy 4th of July everyone!!!
On the morning of the 4th, our neighborhood usually has a parade. We didn't think they would have it because it was raining, but we were wrong. ;o) Mommy heard the firetruck siren & we ran out the door. As we were heading to join in the fun, the parade started without us. Mommy ran, pushing me as fast as we could go just to catch up. It was super funny & I've been saying that mommy ran 55 miles an hour for 50 miles to get me there in time. heeheehee

The good news is that we made it. I had one crash, but it was the fault of the pothole, not me. lol

Here I am all grins riding my bike. It doesn't get much better than riding your bike in the rain behind a firetruck blowing it's siren through the whole neighborhood. WOW!! Cool stuff!
My favorite part is that they give us popsicles when we finish. Last year they were solid colored ones, but this year they were all festive & multi colored. Very exciting. Here I am with my mommy & daddy. I love them very much!!! :o)

On the walk home, I found this big puddle in someone's driveway. I couldn't resist jumping in it. :O) I was SOAKED when I got finished playing. lol

Later in the day, some friends came to meet up with us. They wanted to go to the botanical gardens at the IMA. It was a nice walk on what turned out to be a beautiful day, regardless of the rain that fell on us this morning. Here I am posing on the trail.

So, we found this flowerpot & we decided to have a Harper flower. It only seemed like the perfect thing, especially with all of the other flowers we had already seen on our walk.

After our walk & a nice dinner, we went to the hospital downtown to see a friend who's in there. Mommy had this great idea to park on the roof of the parking garage so we could watch the fireworks from there when it got dark. It was a great idea. I didn't mind the wait, considering I got to color in the trunk, in my chair, while listening to my music. See my peace sign? I couldn't even take the time to look at the camera. I was too busy coloring. ;O)

Mommy tried to video some of the fireworks. There are 2 videos here if you'd like to check them out.

Ok, well, looks as if mommy loaded the same video twice. Don't mind her, she's a little goofy sometimes. lol :o)

HAPPY 4th of JULY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
